  i liked this post, it's thoughtful and say s exactly what it should.

  i agree, too.

  i hate the fact that in some places local to me, we are only allowed white lights around trees, very benign things that don't point obviously to christmas.

  i can't sleep tonight for some reason, and so i took a whack at correcting some of the more glaring typos on the watchtower's site.

  (for instance, they keep misspelling "lie" as t-r-u-t-h. weird...) anyone wanna double-check me, here?

  i got my history a little mixed up in a post earlier tonight, trying to recall an error in a watchtower picture a few years ago.

  the picture was of the scarlet-colored wild beast, but it had crowns.

  the bible says this beast doesn't have crowns, it's the other one that has the crowns.

  I like CK One, Channel No. 5 or Oui on me and Drakkar or Hugo Boss on hubby. Do they still make Lagerfeld? I used to LOVE that on guys.

  ok, so some witnesses left the "watchtower" mag.

  at my door the other day....so i picked it up and read it.... it was like reading the logic of a 10 year old.

  then when i talk to jw, like my cousins that still talk to me, or like the trolls (jws) who are on the board some nights, i feel as i'm talking to a 10 year old.... like the troll on-line tonight.... do you guys agree?.

  10 is being fair, I think. Some of them are at that high level...others, well, I'd say 5 is about their limit.

  OTWO...I had to laugh because when I first read the title of your thread, I thought it said "I need A date for the 2008 memorial" and I thought to myself that you'd have a hard time finding someone here...

  The date is different because the JW's think that the Jews don't know the correct date of their own holiday. Check Reasoning from the Scriptures. It basically says that the Jews don't celebrate Passover on the right day. I had this argument with hubby last year. I even did a bunch of research on Nissan 14. They don't get the whole idea that the holiday starts at sundown on the prior "day".

  A Party For The Elders

  at the risk of outing myself and my hubby, i just had to run this by everyone to see if it was just me.... last night i attended a function that the women of hubby's hell put together to honor their boe.

  there was much food and they put the guys up on a stage and played "name that elder" and then interviewed each one.

  the mc of the event gave deep commentary regarding his feelings of each of the elders.. i thought the elders weren't special...that they were just regular joes with more responsibility...certainly not guys that should be lauded for doing what they have been given the "priviledge" of doing.... am i wrong?.
